About St. Joseph’s Health

St. Joseph’s Health, a short-term acute care hospital in Paterson, NJ, entrusted SparkChange with their automation needs in 2022. With over 700 beds and 5,000 employees, the hospital aimed to enhance efficiency and revenue generation.

St. Joseph’s Health + SparkChange

SparkChange’s innovative automations have revolutionized St. Joseph’s Health’s healthcare operations, particularly for the St. Joseph’s Health medical group billing. From streamlining billing processes to implementing CDIs for TIN correction, each intervention significantly reduces workloads and contributes to substantial time and cost savings, showcasing tangible improvements in workflow, accuracy, and efficiency.

Transformation Through Automations

Recently, St. Joseph’s Health entrusted SparkChange with a critical mission: to develop a Custom Data Item (CDI) aimed at rectifying claims errors. The CDI, meticulously designed to identify claims requiring Tax Identification Numbers (TIN) modification and re-billing, not only detected errors but also executed corrective actions, leading to impressive outcomes — a total of 4,582 claims rectified, with a significant FTE savings of 305 hours. This transformative project, and others like it, not only resolved errors promptly but also played a strategic role in optimizing the revenue cycle, efficiently managing denied claims and strategically preparing them for re-submission, showcasing SparkChange’s commitment to elevating both immediate problem-solving and long-term operational efficiency at St. Joseph’s Health.
