What I Do Here
I joined SparkChange in 2022 to advance the development and IT programs to meet our company's and clients' growing needs. Every day, I have the privilege of working with talented individuals to strategize, plan, and execute our organization's purpose and priorities. It is inspiring to work with a team so driven and capable of solving some of the biggest challenges our clients face each day.
My SparkChange "Why"
I've always had a bent towards justness; it is just how I was made. Before joining SparkChange, I knew there were opportunities for improvement in the healthcare revenue cycle. Still, I didn't realize just how wrong things are. Since being introduced to all the unnecessary obstacles that create waste and drive up costs, I've been hooked on what we are and will be doing to make a tangible, sustainable difference in this industry.
What I Love About SparkChange
I love that we are not afraid of any problem. I love that we impatiently attack every challenge brought to us that will create a meaningful impact. I love that we value our team and clients the way every company should. I love that we don't pretend to be perfect but authentic and passionate in everything we do.
Before SparkChange
I've spent my entire career in the healthcare IT industry. I began as an engineer supporting a major EHR, learning the complexity and importance of these systems and the impact I could personally have on the care received by patients worldwide. I transitioned into leadership and managed single teams to organizations of 500+ individuals. I've always strived to invest in others and make them feel valued. Together, we could solve the challenges ahead of us, navigate complex changes, and serve our clients with integrity.
When I'm Not Working
You'll likely find me with my wife, Kristen, at a practice or game for one of our two boys. If we're by ourselves, there's a good chance we're at a Sporting KC match where we've been season ticket holders for almost a decade. On rare occasions, I find time by myself, and I appreciate a good woodworking project – making a bench, coffee table, shed, etc. Other joys in life include our church family, time in the mountains, a campfire by the lake, audiobooks, and the Minnesota Vikings (the last one is definitely a stretch to call a joy 😃).
